Due to adding a new addition I figured I would make a post with pictures of the pet members of the family. I forgot the poor birds and will have to get pictures of them soon, they are a white parakeet(baby bird) and a Cockatiel(thunderbird). I also did not get Mac , because he is CRAZY and is mil's dog anyway. Image heavycuteness ahead )

as requested posting this.

Dishwashing soap

1 part baking soda
1 part borax (20 mule)

Can also add: citric acid (if do this leave mix in a cookie sheet or ice cube trays so can make it usable tabs. It clumps solid in other words), and/or generic Oxiclean ( think brand I buy is Sun OxiPower). I use 2 scoops of the oxi stuff.

When going to run washer add an 1/8 cup of mixture and vinegar in the spot removal place. If real gunky dishes I will add a splash of vinegar in the bottom of washer. I swear this is the best dishwashing stuff I have ever used EVER.

Washing Machine Detergent

2 cups baking soda ( washing soda if you can find it )
2 cups borax
1/4 cup liquid castille soap (Dr. Bronners)
6-8 scoops Oxi stuff (adjust to hard water level)
1 cup vinegar

mix the liquid soap with the baking soda, borax and oxi stuff. Then slowly add the vinegar, it will foam. Keep mixing till it goes back to large powder. Let sit till stops reacting (it will no longer be warm) then mix with a fork again. Put a lid on it. Use 1/4 to 1/2 cup per load. Add vinegar to either/both the bleach and fabric softener dispenser.

(an yes I know I should post more often, I plan to but life keeps intruding)

I have been just really busy with all that real life stuff will post post soon. Short notes: Texas is insane I feel like an expatriate, but I love my guy and he loves Texas so I can't help but be fond of it. The kids are blooming, if I had any doubts about their need to be away from my mom they are gone. Steve is still a 1st class-ass and college is full of annoying children. I promise pictures soon

Oh my god why did I not know that David Bowie did a cover of  "cactus"? This is like one of the most amzing things ever, only be better if it was a duet with Frank Black!

Sitting here wishing on a cement floor

Just wishing that I had just something you wore

I put it on when I go lonely

Will you take off your dress and send it to me?

I miss your kissin' and I miss your head

And a letter in your writing doesn't mean you're not dead

Run outside in the desert heat

Make your dress all wet and send it to me

I miss your soup and I miss your bread

And a letter in your writing doesn't mean you're not dead

So spill your breakfast and drip your wine

Just wear that dress when you dine

Sitting here wishing on a cement floor

Just wishing that I had just something you wore

Bloody your hands on a cactus tree

Wipe it on your dress and send it to me

Sitting here wishing on a cement floor

Just wishing that I had just something you wore

What with all of the Steve crap and not being in my bellydancing classes, all my old self esteem issues have came crashing down on me.  Along with that the fears for being a almost 30 yr old mom w/ 3 kids that does not want to be alone for life due to Steve wasting my young years.  Its all like a crushing tide of I do not stand up to the standards society sets.  but then I was going out yesterday dressed up to go out with my earrings on and all that that evening I got home caught myself in the mirror and was shocked OMG I am pretty. And you know what I am older looking but mature is not a bad thing and I am damn  good looking even say so better looking  then when I was young.  So I am going to write down the things I like about myself so I can look at it when I am feeling that way again.

1. since I learnt about OCM my skin on face (and my body is getting there is ) is clear, gorgous and soft. My skin never looked this good its stunning movie star perfect skin now.

2. I have awesome Forest Green hazel eyes, that change colour with every emotion.

3. I have kick ass hair : My hair is smooth and shiny  like a pantene commercial but its all my doing.  People spend big money and time trying to make thier hair look like mine. It is also getting really nice and long and even getting a little fuller because of the vitamins.

4. I have a really pretty face. I know that is an insult thrown at big girls all the time but I do.

5. Because of how I carry my weight  I have a set of  really nice legs.

6.  I also am a lot smaller then I once was and I do look good and have curves.

7.   I have a great sense of style and what I like, what looks good on me , including makeup that almost no young  person  has down yet.

8. I am way more assured in my sensuality then I ever did as a 22 year old . (Yay bellydancing)

In none superficial things I am  witty, intelligent, and just all around  really cool. I Know  who I am  and what I want.

Now I just have to remember all this when I am  feeling down.

I've watched hardly any of the war coverage. There are two reasons for this, the main one being that I'm just not as interested as I ought to be. I don't know what's causing that, but I'm just not interested in getting constant information about it. Fine, so there's a war going on. Just go get on with it.

The other reason is that I'm increasingly convinced that 24-hour coverage is a terrible way to get any information about what's going on. As soon as a network commits to talking about something constantly, regardless of whether there's any new developments, they essentially turn into the Home Shopping Network.

Okay, I'll explain that analogy.

You know how on the Home Shopping Network, they have to talk about each object for a certain amount of time? So the anchors bring out, say, a tennis bracelet and then have to wax enthusiastic about its many fine properties for twenty minutes. Except they quickly run out of properties and are reduced to just vamping on how shiny it is. The desperate improvising is pretty painful to watch sometimes, because there's only so many times you can repeat the same things.

Constant news coverage is a lot like that. When something happens, they have something to talk about. And then it might be twelve hours before something new happens, so they're stuck talking about the same thing for twelve hours. Frankly, I'd rather wait until the whole thing is over and then read about it in some kind of overall context.

i so agree with tthat

We made Chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips this week. They are so yummy. I am reading the Outlaws of Sherwood by Robin McKinley a good book. I love all her books, in one of her newer ones, Spindle's End; she even has a character use a sling! She has two fantasy books but most are cool other view versions of fairy tales where the girls are not whiny wimps. We (Mr.Kartusch and me) watched "Bourne Identity" (BORING!), "Igby Goes Down" (Ok I am probably very old to think this and not be icky but Kieran Caulkey, Macaulay's little brother, is a hotty. Oh what? The movie is um odd very funny and depressing at once.), and Pumpkin (1. Christiana Ricci is not cute in blonde hair. 2. Movies about a sorority girl falling in love with the "challenged games" mentally challenged boy they are helping are just creepy. 3. Odd music that is over dramatic and dark do not help creep factor.). Nat burnt his hand. Michele the Northeast Human Service lady bullied us in to taking him to Dr. for it. Dr. said leave it alone and squirt breast milk on it to help keep it from getting infected, so big PTTT, To you Michele! I am so sick of the run to Dr. over every little thing ideas they, NHS, have. At Dr. I did learn Nat is 14lbs 4oz and 28 inches long, Adele is 28lbs and 37 inches tall, and Kat is 56lbs and 46 inches tall (Mr. Kartusch is so clamoring for her to grow 2 inches). Kat was home from school sick all week she has a cough like a seal's bark. Adele is now sick too. Life is otherwise boring and routine.

Now for the questions on my mind section?
Ok so I was watching Dr. Phil (horrid thing to do I know) and had on a girl that dressed to "old" she was 11. So okay my point if it is okay to tell an 11 year old what to wear when is it not? Why is it ever ok. I am just really wondering about this. Short of death by elements/legally exposed when and where and why is it my say on what my kids wear? I know most girls that dress "sexy" its due to other nonclothes reasons but I am just really seeking a position I have on this and how to fit it in to my general teens are due adult respect views
